Isn’t that what warriors are known for? Determination against all odds. They reach deep when they’re desperate, and have no other options. But you know what, Warriors? We don’t have to draw from ourselves…we have the Ultimate Source of light, power, strength, joy, and love. We should not be desperate.
Our commitment is not to a cause, although God’s way of life is a noble cause. Our commitment is to a Person, who has loved us with an everlasting love.
A true warrior is willing to lay down their life for their King. They are committed to the death. Foxe’s Book of Martyrs tells of many such Christians who gave their lives out of faith in God’s truth.
But you know what?
I don’t have to die in order to give my life to my King.
Every day I am presented with a choice to either live for myself, or for my Jesus. Will I choose Him and His word in the morning, so that I am on track with Him throughout the day? Will I choose to listen to His spirit’s leading, instead of my own rash temper? Will I decide to love Him and others in the moments of my actions instead of thinking of Him afterwards with regret?
Our commitment is not a drudgery; it is a filling of all that beautiful, joyous, loving, and good!
Stand with me and dedicate anew your time to furthering His kingdom, and sharing His love.
Rules below, the grab button is located in the sidebar and on the Warriors Linkup in the menu above.
AND I forgot last week to include the hashtag for this linkup on social media! If you share please use #warriorlinkup (thank you!)
P.S.- I am aware that you have to leave your links on a separate page when you click this button. This is due to wordpress.com not allowing certain html codes on their sites. I do not generate income with this blog, therefore I will not be upgrading to wordpress.org simply to enable a linkup to show up here instead of on the inlinkz site. I hope that is not too much of an inconvenience for y’all; I assure you we still want you to be a part of our Warriors group!
